Summary: Under general supervision, the Commercial Loan Assistant 1 supports one
or more lenders with less complex commercial loans. The incumbent perform various
functions that support the department and enables lenders and managers to effectively
generate quality loans for the bank. The majority (60%) of the time is spent providing
support to commercial lenders and customers. While the Commercial Loan Assistant 1
spends the majority of their time supporting the commercial lending function, they may
also support other lending functions (Consumer or Mortgage) in order to meet the needs
of the department. This includes assisting lenders and providing exceptional service to
customers who have loans in process and able to correctly determine which
documentation is necessary for all loan types.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
? High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
? Successful completion Fundamentals of Commercial Lending or ability to obtain within
90 days required
? 2 years banking or equivalent related experience required. Previous loan experience
preferred.
? Working regulatory knowledge such as privacy, safeguarding customer information,
Regulation B, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Regulation Z, Truth in Lending, CRA,
HMDA, and flood regulations required
? Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days
required.
? AA/AS degree preferred
?Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
